Jeep Easter Eggs: What are they and where to find them

If you have found yourself asking the question what are easter eggs and are they on my Jeep you have come to the right place. An easter egg in the automotive industry is a cool feature, imprint, or signature mark that is not readily apparent upon first look.

These hidden easter egg features are incorporated by designers to give Jeep owners special style elements that can either improve the vehicles functionality, comfort, or simply provide some enjoyment to the owner when they find the hidden gems on there easter egg hunt!

What year does Jeep have Easter Eggs?

1997 is the first year that you will find an easter egg on a Jeep vehicle, which is the Jeep Wrangler TJ. When updating from the YJ Wrangler designers took the iconic seven bar grille, that started with the Willys Jeep, and blended it into the cowl area to allow air to flow into the interior of the car.

While this may have been the first cool easter egg to be incorporated on a Jeep Wrangler it is not the last. Hidden easter eggs are found on other vehicles, in addition to the Wrangler, as well. Other Jeep easter eggs have been discovered in many places such as: cup holders, inside the fuel door, taillights, windshields, both the exterior and interior of the Jeep Renegade, and may other locations.

These cool easter eggs are unique to the jeep models that they appear on but the iconic seven bar grille can be found on all Jeep models in some form.

High Country Off-Road offers options if you would like to change the grille of your Jeep Wrangler or Jeep Gladiator Rubicon to have a custom look that stands out from the crowd.

Another subtle nod to the original Willys three spoke steering wheel are the three notches on the circle surround on horn of the latest model.
